Did you know that there are more than 250 public libraries in NJ? More than 300 firearms dealers? A few hundred boy and girl scout troops? Wouldn’t it be great if they all new about NJ2AS?

As a tie in to the High School Writing contest NJ2AS is having a publicity contest. As you may know the writing contest is open to all NJ high school students. The publicity contest in open to all NJ2AS members.

We all know that we must awaken NJ’s 1,000,000 closet gun owners and of course it is equally important to win the hearts and minds of NJ’s non-gun owners. The high school writing contest is a great opportunity to reach out to all NJ residents. To remind them of the importance of the 2nd amendment, and show them how their rights are being infringed.

So lets see if we can spread the word, and have some fun doing it. Our goal is to get as near 100% member participation as possible in this contest.

There are several ways to earn points, each point is an entry into a drawing for a prize, and there will be additional awards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest point earners. The contest will start today and run until the meeting in March when the winners will be announced.

So how do you earn points?

1 point is awarded for each of the following:

• Post a flyer- print out a copy of the attached flyer and post it at your local library, coffee shop, super market, or any community bulletin board. then take a picture with your smart phone and send it in! each flyer is one point
  
• Photograph a flyer Someone steal your spot and put a flyer where you were going to put one? Thats ok take a photo send it in, get a point
  
• Share a NJ2AS link on Facebook or twitter to the next NJ2AS meeting, the HS writing contest or NJ2AS Event on your personal facebook page or Twitter feed
  
• Post a NJ2AS link on a public website - Belong to a hunting, shooting, tea party or other public site? Post a link and earn a point
  
• Get a Facebook Ad Page to share our link know a 2A or NJ related facebook page? Get them to share a link to ext NJ2AS meeting, the HS writing contest or NJ2AS Event on their page and get a point.
  
• Comment on a NJ2AS link Someone post a link where you were going to post one? post a comment on a link and get a point!
  
• Place a bumper sticker on your car Ok we know they are rare, and their is even some question about whether they are “really” bumper stickers. But , their is one on my car so .... if ya got one stick it on their send a pic
  
• Spot or get spotted with a NJ2AS Sticker, shirt, or gear Send in the make model and location of a car (or best guess) you see with a NJ2AS bumper sticker, or picture of a member with NJ2AS gear and get a point. The spotted member gets a point too
  
• Change your facebook cover photo to match the cover photo of the NJ2AS FB page
  
• Participate in 2Calls a Day for 2A each day you participate in the daily calls for this initiative you get a point

Hey didn’t you say something about a free class at Gun for Hire Academy?

Well yeah about that. We don’t know what all the prizes will be yet, but Anthony Colandro has agreed to donate one class for the 1st place winner. For sure all the winners will get bragging rights, and all participants will have the satisfaction of knowing they helped win the fight to restore the 2nd amendment in NJ.
